5 Fun Tequila Drinks That Are Super Easy to Make

Tequila — what’s not to love? Good tequila is potent, versatile and smooth. You can chill it (or not), sip it and call it a day. When you want to spice it up or when you don’t have the top-shelf stuff on hand, you can mix your tequila with a few other ingredients for a decent cocktail that keeps your buzz going. Here are 5 fun tequila drinks you can make in a flash:


1. Paloma

If you like grapefruit and you like tequila, you’ll love the Paloma. Plus, it’s super easy to make.

Ingredients:

¼ cup tequila

¼ cup grapefruit soda or fresh grapefruit juice

½ ounce fresh lime juice

Pinch of kosher salt

Crushed ice

Directions:

Combine tequila, grapefruit soda or juice and lime juice. Pour into a tall glass filled with ice.


2. Spicy Margarita

A spicy twist on a classic ’rita. This is the perfect drink for when you don’t have spicy food to go with your margarita.

Ingredients:

¾ ounce fresh lime juice

½ jalapeno, minced

2 ounces tequila

1 ounce triple sec

1 teaspoon simple syrup

Lime wedge

Crushed ice

Kosher salt

Directions:

Moisten a margarita glass with the lime wedge and dip it in salt. Combine all ingredients except ice in a shaker. Strain into your glass filled with ice and garnish with a lime wedge.


3. Tequila Sunrise

We guarantee you already have all the ingredients to make this drink ... just three ingredients and you’re done!

Ingredients:

2 ounces tequila

4 ounces orange juice

½ ounce grenadine

Maraschino cherry for garnish

Directions:

Combine tequila and orange juice in a tall glass with ice. Gently pour the grenadine down the side of the glass so it settles at the bottom. Garnish with the maraschino cherry.


4. Pineapple Margarita

This is a great summer night recipe for when you’re at home binging that show you really need to catch up on.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 ounces tequila

3 ounces pineapple juice

1 ounce triple sec

Crushed ice

Fresh pineapple wedges

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and serve in a margarita glass over ice. Garnish with fresh pineapple wedges.


5. Tequila Sour

This is what happens when a whiskey sour meets a margarita.

Ingredients:

2 ounces tequila

1 ounce lemon juice

½ ounce simple syrup

Crushed ice

Orange slice or orange peel for garnish

Directions:

Combine all ingredients except garnish in a shaker. Pour in a tall glass over crushed ice and garnish with orange slice.
