Much more than any other thing, your health should be the most important thing to you as the state of your health determines how functional you will be. Your body system develops in a way that it has the ability to resist external attacks. However, the immunity of your body has a limit to what it can fight. Over the years, medical experts are known to prescribe drugs as the cure to the effect of these external attacks. Though the drugs work, most of them are very expensive and cause after effect reactions like drowsiness, sweat and tiredness. Instead of sticking to drugs, there are natural food remedies that can relieve you of pains and make your body regain enough strength to sustain your immune system. Below is a list of all-natural food remedies that actually works:

Banana: One of the least expensive fruits is food: In and out of season, you can get banana in any supermarket or a grocery store. Banana is a natural #remedy for stress and anxiety. Taking banana will boost your blood and provide you with vitamin B6 thereby helping your brain generate serotonin. So, if you notice that you get easily stressed even before you begin the task, then, take enough banana.

Yogurt: One of the upper respiratory infections that is quite common in most people is cold. However, you can strengthen your body system by taking yoghurt. Fermented dairy products like yoghurt contain probiotics. You can avoid being cold even during winter by taking enough yoghurt

Oatmeal: Oatmeal is taken as a breakfast meal. It takes few minutes for preparation. You can cure eczema and rashes with oatmeal. Usually, oatmeal contains phytochemicals. Phytochemicals also contain anti-inflammatory properties. You can directly take oatmeal with milk to cure inflammation or make a paste and directly apply it on your body for 8-10 minutes.

Dry Prunes: There are different causes of constipation but the common one is when your stool stays for too long in your large intestine and your intestine sucks up the water in your stool which in turn makes your stool dry and hard. For some people, constipation can occur by sleeping immediately after eating. Whichever way, you can easily relieve yourself by taking dry prunes as they contain insoluble fibre that helps fight constipation. More so, prunes contain active properties that function as natural laxatives and sorbitol which keeps your system more functional than OTC drugs.

Turmeric: Turmeric is common in India because it is used as a cure for infections. Turmeric contains a nitrifying agent called curcumin which contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. So, if you sustain a superficial wound, you can make a paste with turmeric and apply it on the surface of the wound.

Sweet Potato: Apart from the fact that everyone enjoys eating sweet potato, it is also a natural food remedy for diabetics and cancer. Sweet potato serves as a remedy for breast, colon and gastric cancer due to its anthocyanin property. The chemical in sweet potato also heals ulcer wounds.

Research has shown that food intake is now seen as a necessity to survival rather than a necessity for healthy living. Much more than surviving, good living stems from healthy food intake. Also, you do not have to spend a whole lot on drugs, but you can cure infections or diseases by staying true to natural food remedies.
